Successful representation in real estate matters requires knowledge of and attention to the markets, as well as the law. The real estate practice group at Felhaber is deeply involved in the latest developments within the real estate industry. We participate in interdisciplinary working groups, recommend and draft proposed real estate legislation, serve as legal counsel to a variety of industry associations, teach seminars and provide critical information to clients about developments in the real estate industry and the law.

Acquisitions and Sales
We are highly skilled in all aspects of the conveyance of real estate and have represented buyers or sellers both locally and nationally. We handle the formation of entities to develop or own real estate, review title, survey and environmental matters, assist with the establishment of tax-free exchanges, and negotiate and draft contracts for the operation of virtually all types of real property.
Development
We have extensive experience in all aspects of real estate development, including residential and commercial condominiums, townhomes and other common interest communities, development agreements, construction contracts, land use, planning, zoning and government approvals.
Homeowners Associations
We advise a significant portion of the metropolitan area homeowners associations in legal, practical and other matters.
Leasing
We have great depth and breadth of experience in drafting and reviewing leases for a wide variety of properties, such as office buildings, shopping centers, warehouses, industrial facilities, professional sports facilities and single tenant buildings. We have represented both landlords and tenants on transactions ranging from complex commercial leases to basic residential leases.
Lending
Our attorneys represent large, national lenders as well as regional and community financial institutions in a wide variety of commercial lending transactions. We also assist borrowers with the structure and negotiation of financing and refinancing.
Real Estate Litigation
Among our real estate practitioners are litigators skilled in all areas of real estate related litigation, including construction litigation, land use litigation, contract and lease litigation, mechanics' lien and mortgage foreclosures, tax appeals, condemnation proceedings, and eviction actions.
