"I grew up in a town in Iowa so small it had no lawyers, but I had parents who provided me a lifetime education in values and understanding people. I call upon those values and experiences every day to manage what I believe is the most challenging and fascinating part of what lawyers do -- deal with the human side of the practice."

Robert Bach has spent over 30 years in civil litigation and is an MSBA Board Certified Civil Trial Specialist. He practices in the areas of intellectual property litigation, commercial litigation, trust and estate litigation, employment law, railroad law and transportation law claims. He has extensive litigation experience in these practice areas, including non-compete claims, theft of intellectual property, breach of contract and employment discrimination claims. He also represents several railroads and, in addition to general corporate and employment litigation on their behalf, he regularly defends claims under the Federal Employers' Liability Act, railroad crossing accidents and other transportation law claims. He served as the Chair of the Litigation Section of the firm for 15 years. He has been a speaker at seminars on employment law, intellectual property law and railroad law topics.
