Jim Blomquist’s law practice covers all types of commercial contracts including, particularly, technology related matters, trademark law, copyright law, domain name and trade secret protection. His clients include both software developers and users, as well as authors, publishers, printing companies, health care providers and nonprofit companies. Jim is a past officer and chairperson, and currently an active member of the Computer Law & Technology Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association.
For over 30 years, Jim has represented clients in a multitude of contract and licensing matters. His legal work includes advice regarding intellectual property licensing and copyright protection, registration and use. Jim has extensive experience in advising clients regarding trademark use and registration, including representation at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
