Donald Heeman's practice is devoted primarily to business litigation, employment litigation and professional licensing matters. Mr. Heeman has obtained verdicts and judgments for clients through both trial and motion practice. He has represented clients in state and federal court, and has also appeared before administrative and appellate courts. Mr. Heeman was named a shareholder of the firm in 2006 and is currently co-chair of the firm’s litigation section.

Industry Specialties
Donald Heeman has developed a specialization in the representation of primary and secondary mortgage lenders in repurchase and breach of contract litigation. He currently serves as primary counsel for one of the largest secondary lenders on cases involving national repurchase matters. Mr. Heeman has also represented numerous servicers in defending regulatory claims, including allegations involving Truth In Lending Act (TILA) claims, Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) claims, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) claims, HOEPA claims, and RESPA claims. In addition, Mr. Heeman also frequently represents professionals in licensing investigations and other inquiries, including matters before the Minnesota Office of Administrative Hearings.
