For Immediate Release
Ms
McGrane, one of Felhaber's health care attorneys, was a participant
in "Listening to the City," an initiative led by the Lower
Manhattan Development Corporation (LMDC), the Port Authority of
New York and the Port Authority of New Jersey. 5000 New Yorkers
gave input regarding the future use of the World Trade Center site.
Sara was one of 500 (volunteer) facilitators, selected from over
2500 applicants, that oversaw the interactive process. Why did she
volunteer to spend a weekend in New York City, investing her personal
time and resources?
" I was excited to be asked to volunteer
because like so many people in the United States, and in the
world, it was so frustrating to not be able to offer real assistance
after the 9-11 tragedy. Being able to meet family members of
victims, rescue workers, and others directly affected by the
tragedy was such a wonderful experience. Being able to help
them communicate their goals for the rebuilding of the WTC site
made me feel like I was able to make a small contribution toward
the tremendous effort New Yorkers are making. "
