Penny Phillips Interviewed on WCCO

Attorney Penny Phillips appeared on WCCO Radio with host Roshini Rajkumar to discuss the continuing legal issues surrounding transgender people and their use of public restrooms and locker rooms.

Specifically, Penny focused on the announcement that the United States Supreme Court will hear arguments on whether Title IX’s ban on sex discrimination includes gender identity   If so, then federally funded educational institutions likely would be required to allow transgender persons to use  restrooms and facilities of their choice.

Penny also discussed the current nomination of Judge Merrick Garland for the vacancy on the Supreme Court and what effect the upcoming election might have on the nominating process.
