Felhaber Larson is proud to announce that we have established a college scholarship to be known as:
The Felhaber Larson Endowed Scholarship in Memory of Robert J. Fenlon and Stephen J. Burton
Bob Fenlon and Steve Burton provided many years of devoted service as both labor and general counsel to the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association (“SMACNA”). In their honor, Felhaber Larson has created an Endowed Scholarship through the SMACNA College of Fellows.
The scholarship will be an annual award of $3,000 to a college student who is an immediate family member of (1) an employee of a SMACNA member, (2) SMACNA national staff or (3) a member of the College of Fellows. The scholarship will be provided to an eligible student who is enrolled in an accredited college in the United States. There is no restriction on the course of study undertaken by the recipient of the scholarship, but it is hoped that the student would consider a career in a field related to the sheet metal industry.
In addition to being outstanding practitioners of labor law, Bob and Steve were both great teachers and mentors to their colleagues and clients. We think they would be especially proud to be honored in a manner that relates to education and scholarship.
