Felhaber Larson Welcomes Our 2024 Summer Associates

Felhaber Larson is pleased to welcome our summer associates, Matthew Friedmann, Tessa Register, and Fidelina Valverde-Rivera to the firm.  We are committed to our summer associate program that provides a meaningful work experience alongside our attorneys on interesting and challenging projects in a variety of practice areas as well as opportunities to experience the real practice of law and network with all of our firm members.

Matthew Friedmann.  Returning for a second year in Felhaber’s summer associate program, Matthew is a rising 3L at the University of St. Thomas School of Law.  He is the third generation in his family to attend North Dakota State University where he received his B.S. in Management with a focus in HR and his M.Ed. in Educational Leadership with a focus on higher ed. administration. While at NDSU, Matthew was the president of the student body. Matthew is the captain of the law school hockey team, the Fighting Apostles. In March this year, the Fighting Apostles proudly defeated the UofM’s law school team, the Fighting Mondales, to take home the coveted Golden Gavel trophy.

Tessa Register.  Tess studied English and Philosophy at the University of Georgia, where she also received a Certificate in Interdisciplinary Writing. She is a rising 3L at the University of St. Thomas School of Law and enjoys working in the law library during the semester. She currently serves as the Submissions Editor for the UST Law Journal and is the President of Out!Law.

Fidelina Valverde-Rivera.  Fide graduated from Bowling Green State University where she studied Philosophy, Politics, Economics, and Law (PPEL) and Spanish. While at BGSU, she held various leadership positions in her sorority and was President of BGSU’s College Panhellenic Conference. She continues to work with Greek Letter Organizations as a Chapter Finance Advisor and Panhellenic Advisor for Delta Gamma. A rising 2L at the University of Minnesota Law School, Fide is the Events Director for Law Council, the Marketing Director for the Asylum Law Project, and a Student Ambassador for the Office of Admissions. Fide was also selected to compete on the University of Minnesota’s Media and Entertainment Moot Court Team this upcoming school year.
