This holiday season, Felhaber supported the Lutheran Social Service (LSS) Adopt a Family Program by adopting five families supported by LSS.
LSS’s Adopt a Family Program recognizes that stable housing is essential in our lives to develop roots in the community, maintain job stability, and nurture our children well. LSS walks with families in a housing crisis to provide crucial support, including housing/rental assistance, mental health services, goal planning and guidance to help them maintain stability and thrive. This program supports families who are in a housing crisis and working with LSS to secure stable housing, achieve job and school goals, and strengthen family stability. LSS’ Adopt a Family/Holiday Giving Program supports five LSS service areas:
- Adoption & Foster Care Services
- Family Supports
- Housing Services
- Residential & Customized Support Services
- Youth Services
LSS has a very worthy goal of providing holiday gifts to 125 families it serves.
Felhaber is very proud to work with LSS in achieving its goal of assisting families in need this holiday season. Accordingly, Felhaber have adopted five families with an emphasis on youth services who provided a wish list.
Felhaber’s engagement with LSS for the Adopt a Family Program was a smashing success!!! In addition to filling the wish lists of the five families adopted, Felhaber raised enough additional funds to purchase gift cards for each family to purchase necessary items like groceries, clothing, etc.
