Tess began her Felhaber career as a Summer Associate in 2024 and continued on as a Law Clerk during the school year. We are very pleased to welcome Tess as one of Felhaber’s newest associates and excited to celebrate her continued journey at Felhaber.
Tessa Register approaches the practice of law with the mindset of a translator—working to make complex legal systems and “legalese” more accessible, understandable, and human for her clients. She believes that effective advocacy starts with listening. By taking the time to understand each client’s goals, needs, and story, she builds strategies that are not only legally sound, but personally meaningful.
A cum laude graduate of the University of St. Thomas School of Law in 2025 and the University of Georgia, graduating cum laude in 2020, her academic foundation in critical thinking and communication continues to inform her legal work today.
Clients often describe her as being approachable and responsive. She finds the most rewarding part of her work to be the direct interaction with her clients—helping them feel informed, understood, and supported throughout the legal process.
She continues to be involved with the Minnesota Lavender Bar Association. Outside the office, Tessa enjoys hot yoga with her partner, visiting family in Savannah, Georgia, adding to her growing houseplant collection, and reading.
