Penny Phillips is an employment law attorney at Felhaber Larson who counsels clients across industries including healthcare, higher education, manufacturing, banking, hospitality, and nonprofit organizations. Her practice focuses on discrimination and harassment matters, regulatory compliance, management training, and proactive workplace solutions. A former clerk for the Minnesota Supreme Court, Penny has been widely recognized for her contributions to employment law, including her role in establishing Minnesota’s Labor and Employment Law certification program and her induction into the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. She is also known for her proactive, responsive approach to client service and her mentorship of future legal professionals at Mitchell Hamline Law School.
Paul Zech is a longtime labor and employment attorney and former President of Felhaber Larson with more than 40 years of experience representing management in employment law, litigation defense, and traditional labor matters. As former Chair of the firm’s Labor and Employment section, he has advised employers on compliance, workplace disputes, labor negotiations, arbitrations, and National Labor Relations Board proceedings across a wide range of industries. He is also a Fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. He has served as a neutral mediator in more than 100 employment disputes. He is a frequent speaker on labor and employment topics at both local and national programs and has earned consistent recognition throughout his career for his work in the field.
