Sara Gullickson McGrane – Twin Cities Business 25 Notable Women In Law

Felhaber is proud to share that our colleague, mentor and friend has been recognized by Twin Cities Business for her accomplishments of guiding clients through challenging situations, her leadership, and work for the community.

An experienced litigator, Sara has handled hundreds of matters in both the federal and state courts of many states, including Minnesota and North Dakota.  She has tried numerous cases to jury verdict and has tried one or more cases to verdict in sixteen of the last twenty years. Sara focuses her practice on litigation, with an emphasis on employment and energy law, and is certified as a specialist in labor and employment law by the Minnesota State Bar Association.

Sara has extensive experience handling complex litigation in both the employment and commercial arenas and significant experience in all aspects of employment litigation, including cases involving breach of contract, discrimination, defamation, harassment, non-competes and wage and hour.  She has handled approximately 30 appeals to state and federal appellate courts.  From 2017 to 2023, Sara served as Felhaber’s firm president, successfully leading the firm through the COVID-19 pandemic.  Her leadership style is described as engaging, inclusive, collaborative and personable.

In addition to her legal work, Sara is an active community volunteer. She served on the Board of Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid from 2011-2022, serving as President from 2018 to 2021.
