As we previously reported in Minneapolis Passes Phased-In $15.00 Minimum Wage and St. Paul Enacts $15.00 Minimum Wage, both Minneapolis and St. Paul enacted minimum wage ordinances in 2017 and 2018, which have gradual increases in the minimum wage each year.
Effective July 1, 2022, both Minneapolis and St. Paul are increasing minimum wages as follows:

For individuals employed in Minnesota outside the borders of Minneapolis and St. Paul, the Minnesota minimum wage recently increased on January 1, 2022, to $10.33 an hour for large employers and $8.42 an hour for small employers.
