Lauren provides legal counsel to individuals and businesses of all sizes and helps guide her clients through complex legal and business issues.  Lauren practices primarily in the areas of:

Business and Commercial Litigation

Lauren represents individuals and businesses relating to business and commercial disputes, including matters relating to non-compete agreements, misappropriation of trade secrets, shareholder disputes, breach of contract disputes, and receiverships.  Lauren also assists clients with cybersecurity issues and data breach response efforts.

Employment Litigation

Lauren represents employers in all matters of employment defense, including EEOC and state-based charges of discrimination and investigations, state and federal wage and hour litigation, discrimination and retaliation actions, Equal Pay Act claims, and ERISA litigation.

Trademark Advice and Litigation

Lauren represents clients throughout the trademarking process to apply for, retain, license, and protect state and federal trademarks.  To protect trademark rights, Lauren zealously advocates to protect and enforce her clients’ trademarks rights, including through infringement litigation.  Lauren has also successfully litigated cancellation and opposition proceedings before the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.

Commercial Real Estate and Construction Litigation

Lauren represents clients in litigation and arbitration involving commercial real estate and construction disputes, alleged construction defects, commercial lease disputes, mechanics’ lien actions, and easement disputes.

Trust and Estate Litigation

Lauren represents trustees, personal representatives, attorneys-in-fact, beneficiaries, and heirs in contested trust and probate matters, including claims of undue influence and diminished capacity, interpretation and construction disputes, breach of fiduciary duty disputes, and accounting actions.

Lauren serves as Co-Chair of the Recruiting Committee and is a member of the firm’s Board of Directors.
