Decades of Energy Law Experience

Over several decades, Felhaber Larson has established itself as one of the top energy law firms in the state. We’ve developed a broad and comprehensive energy law practice, working with regulators, utility representatives and other parties to resolve a variety of electric utility matters. On behalf of our clients, our attorneys regularly appear before the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission, the Minnesota Department of Commerce/Division of Energy Resources, administrative bodies and the civil courts. Our experience and reputation in energy law allows us to represent client needs with skill and credibility.

Our practice mainly focuses on representing large and small distribution electric cooperatives, some of whom are partially or totally regulated by the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission. Specifically, we represent electric cooperatives regarding renewable energy matters; board of director governance; labor and employment; business sales, mergers and acquisitions; real estate, contractual and other transactional matters, and associated litigation.
